State Minister for Youth and Sports expresses condolence at the death of the Speakers spouse
State Minister for Youth and Sports Aminul Haque has expressed deep sorrow and grief at the death of Dilara Hafiz, the spouse of National Parliament Speaker Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, who was also a former Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) and former Principal of Eden Mohila College.
In a condolence message, the State Minister said, “Dilara Hafiz was a dedicated educationist. Her contributions to the development of the country’s education sector and her administrative excellence will be remembered forever. With her passing, the nation has lost a worthy guardian.”
Recalling her long journey alongside Speaker Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, Aminul Haque said, “Respected Hafiz Uddin Ahmed is not only a successful politician and guardian of the parliament, but also a legend in the country’s football arena. As a former outstanding footballer, he demonstrated leadership on the মাঠ, and as his spouse, Dilara Hafiz provided him with courage and inspiration through every challenge and hardship. At this moment of grief, I extend my deepest condolences to their family.”
The State Minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family members.
