Key Decisions from BCB Ad-hoc Committee Meeting

The fourth meeting of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Ad-hoc Committee resulted in several key decisions. The meeting was held at the BCB Management Office located at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, marking progress in the board’s administrative and structural matters.

At the meeting, the list of associations, clubs, and organisations eligible to nominate councillors was finalised. In accordance with Article 12.7 of the BCB Constitution, a total of 192 councillors will be nominated under three categories. Letters will be sent to the respective bodies, requesting them to submit their nominations by May 16.

Additionally, the board decided to form a committee to evaluate applicants for 64 district coach positions. Following the expiration of the current coaches’ contracts, candidates will undergo both theoretical and practical assessments as part of the recruitment process.

Meanwhile, the board approved a three-month extension for the contracts of match referees and umpires, which had expired on April 30, 2026.
