Bangladesh have clinched the ODI series against New Zealand with a commanding 55-run victory in the third and final match in Chattogram. The Tigers won the three-match series 2-1 after taking control in the decisive encounter.

Opting to bat first after losing the toss, Bangladesh had a cautious start but steadied their innings through Najmul Hossain Shanto and Litton Das. The duo gradually built momentum and helped the team reach a competitive position.

Shanto and Litton put together a crucial 160-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Shanto ended a two-year century drought with a brilliant 105 off 105 balls, including 9 fours and 2 sixes. Litton contributed a solid 76 runs, playing an important role in setting up a strong total.

Chasing 266, New Zealand struggled from the outset under pressure from disciplined Bangladesh bowling. Regular wickets halted their progress, and they were eventually bowled out for 210.

For New Zealand, opener Nick Kelly scored 59 runs, while Dean Foxcroft fought hard with a valiant 75-run knock. However, lack of support from the other end cost the visitors the match.

The standout performer with the ball was Mustafizur Rahman. Returning after missing the first two matches due to injury, the left-arm pacer claimed a five-wicket haul. His variations, especially slower cutters, troubled the Kiwi batters and played a decisive role in Bangladesh’s victory.
