Rain-Interrupted Match Sets Sri Lanka a Revised Target of 198 in 28 Overs
Intermittent rain in Sri Lanka disrupted the flow of the third Youth ODI, with Bangladesh’s innings halted before completing the revised number of overs. Under the DLS method, Sri Lanka have been set a target of 198 runs to chase in 28 overs.
The third ODI of the series, held at the Colombo Cricket Club ground, saw a delayed start due to rain, with the match reduced to 45 overs per side. Bangladesh U-19 captain Azizul Hakim Tamim won the toss and opted to bat first.
However, after reaching 144 for 2, rain returned once again, forcing an early end to Bangladesh’s innings. Despite scoring 144 runs on the board, adjustments through the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method raised Sri Lanka’s revised target to 198 runs in 28 overs.
