Sean Williams retired from T20I

Bangladesh's connection with Zimbabwe's all-rounder Sean Williams is historical. Sean Williams, who played in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) and the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), concluded his international T20 career in Bangladesh itself.

Today (May 12), at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Bangladesh faced off against Zimbabwe, Williams played for the last time in international T20 cricket.

In his final match, Williams couldn't bat as he only bowled one over and conceded 12 runs. Brian Bennett and Sikandar Raza, on the other hand, led the team to a significant victory with 8 wickets.

Speaking to the media after the match, Sean Williams said, "This was probably my last match in this format. I am retiring." Despite bidding farewell to the shortest format, he will continue playing in the other two formats.

Sean Williams has played 81 T20 matches for Zimbabwe, scored 1691 runs averaging 23.48 with the bat and taking 48 wickets at an average of 28.62.
