Dinesh Karthik named RCB's new batting coach and mentor

Dinesh Karthik has been appointed as the new batting coach and mentor for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team. He announced his retirement as a player in IPL 2024. Starting from IPL 2025, he will be taking on the role of batting coach and mentor.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise has officially designated Dinesh Karthik as their new batting coach and mentor for the upcoming IPL season.

In May, Dinesh Karthik concluded his 17-year-long career in the IPL. Following a loss to the Rajasthan Royals, Karthik hung up his gloves and expressed his gratitude to his supporters. His RCB teammates honored him with a guard of honor. Over his IPL career, he has played for a total of six different franchises.

However, if there’s a comeback story to be told, it’s certainly Dinesh Karthik’s. He is returning to the IPL, this time in the role of a coach.

Karthik joined the RCB camp in 2022 and has been with the team for the past three years. Now, he has been entrusted with the responsibility of managing the players.
