A new chapter has begun in Bangladesh cricket. The country’s cricket governing body, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), has formed an 11-member ad hoc committee, which will be responsible for managing the game and ensuring administrative transparency in the country.

The committee’s president is Tamim Iqbal, Bangladesh’s former captain. He scored over 15,000 runs during a 16-year international cricket career.

The members of the committee are:

Mirza Yasir Abbas – Son of Dhaka-8 MP Mirza Abbas. He has been appointed as a political advisor at the ministerial level by the Prime Minister.

Syed Ibrahim Ahmed – Son of Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed.

Israfil Khasru – Son of Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury.

Minhajul Annu – Former captain of the national team and former chief selector of the BCB. He recently served as the Head of Program of the now-dissolved board.
