The wait is over for cricket fans in Dhaka as the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League 2025–26 is set to get underway on May 4, continuing through June 11. All matches of this season will be across six venues.
According to the decision of the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis and the Bangladesh Cricket Board, the league will be in a single-league format this year. This means the Super League and Relegation League stages, which were part of previous editions, have been removed.
A total of 66 matches will be played throughout the tournament. Reserve days have been kept in place to ensure completion of matches in case of any interruptions.
The team finishing at the top of the points table will be crowned champions, while the second-placed team will be declared runners-up. Meanwhile, the bottom two teams will be relegated to the Dhaka First Division Cricket League.
