BPL Without Chattogram, Revised Schedule in Sylhet and Dhaka

Chattogram’s galleries will remain silent, while Sylhet prepares to shoulder added responsibility—as the venue landscape of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) has suddenly changed. Midway through the tournament, a major decision has been taken to cancel the Chattogram leg, with all matches scheduled there moved to Sylhet. As a result, the overall tournament schedule has undergone significant revisions.
The development was confirmed on Wednesday by Iftikhar Rahman Mithu, Member Secretary of the BPL Governing Council. He stated that due to logistical and management-related challenges, hosting the Chattogram leg is not feasible. Consequently, the 12 matches originally slated for Chattogram will now be held in Sylhet.
According to the revised schedule, the Sylhet leg will begin on January 1 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. A total of 18 matches will be played there in afternoon and evening slots. Teams including Sylhet Titans, Dhaka Capitals, Rangpur Riders, Chattogram Royals, Noakhali Express and Rajshahi Warriors will all play multiple matches at this venue.
The Sylhet leg will kick off on January 1 with a match between Sylhet Titans and Dhaka Capitals. League-stage matches will continue in Sylhet until January 12, after which the Dhaka leg of the tournament will begin on January 15.
The remaining league matches in Dhaka will be played on January 15, 16 and 17. The playoffs will start on January 19 with the first Eliminator and the Qualifier. Another Qualifier will be held on January 21, and the tournament will conclude with the final on January 23.
