BCB appoints Under-19 coach & Age Group Teams Batting Consultant
Previously, the head coach of the Bangladesh Under-19 team was Lankan Naveed Nawaz. It was under his supervision that the young Tigers won the World Cup in 2020. Once again, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has placed its trust in Naveed Nawaz.
For the past few days, there have been rumors in the cricket community that Naveed Nawaz is returning as the coach of the Bangladesh Under-19 team. Today, that rumor has been confirmed as true, with the BCB officially announcing the news.
In a statement, the BCB confirmed that Naveed Nawaz will not only be the head coach of the Under-19 team but also serve as the batting consultant for the junior age-group teams under BCB Game Development.
Naveed Nawaz's new role will begin on July 1 of this year and will last for a duration of two years.
Naveed Nawaz has substantial experience as a coach. He has previously worked with the Bangladesh Cricket Board during two separate terms and has also worked with Sri Lanka Cricket in his home country.
